What do we do?

We help busy people keep on rolling out great marketing when life’s little problems get in the way.

 

Most businesses (not just the small and micro) are caught in a little bit of a sales and marketing yo-yo.

What do they do when sales are low? They pile on the marketing.

And then when there are more leads and new customers than they can handle; they take a foot off the marketing gas.

It looks a little bit like this:

Of course if your marketing was always this reliable – you’d actually be in a very good position to maintain a ‘lifestyle’ business.

All you would need is someone to take care of the marketing peaks for you,and then you really could put your feet up.

But of course if you, like us, are looking to grow your business; you probably find the situation you see in the above graph very frustrating. Because it is clear you do not have the resource to maintain growth for an extended period of time.

You may also see that there is a lot of wasted energy in the sales and marketing yo-yo.

Just think…

What happens to all those people you have invested decent time and money in warming up with your marketing efforts? It’s been 3-6 months or even a year since you last spoke with them. Now you are going to have to warm up that list again. Talk about re-designing the wheel.

So we, Ben and Lyndsay, started Hello Marketing because we want to help people like you grow your business, by providing a service which is as reactive as your business might sometimes be hectic.

The result?

  • advancement in your business growth, and a
  • better life in and outside of work

Of course it’s been said many a time that the biggest mistake you can make as a business owner is forgetting that business is not your first priority.

And the primary purpose of your business is to serve your life, not the other way around.

Our big ideas and desire for adventure inspired us to start Hello Marketing. Because we know that there are so many things that you want to do too, but just don’t have the time to complete them all. Ben writes about this a little in his personal blog – timeis.life.

Yes we believe in taking risks, and trying new things, but we also have the Hello Marketing family of clients at heart – and we know that you don’t want to waste money on unnecessary marketing. We can help you work out where you will get most bang for your buck, or we can just pick up the tasks you never quite get round to doing – like keeping in touch with your existing clients, or updating your website.

You’ll find we’ve done a lot in the past, but with the family at heart. We only offer services that we have done and seen work. Either personally for ourselves, or for others’ businesses in our previous roles.

Of course we won’t ever leave you in the dark, we have a strong family ethos, and we will always be here for you.

We provide, or we advise. Whether you go for it or not, is up to you. (Who listens to the family every time anyways?)

The Key 2 Growth is more than just the name of our holding company.

Lyndsay took her first job in Marketing in 1997 sticking labels onto promotional gifts for an agency. She was as careful and particular about that as she is now and strongly believes that when you are putting someone else’s name to something you should do it with care and respect.
She has worked with big brands and small names and doesn’t think there should be any difference in the professionalism that the customer is shown.
She loves cakes, pastries, and the idea of exercise… sometimes even enough to put the theory into practice.

I spent the first 22 years of my life deep in thought which ultimately cultivated in a bachelor of arts in Philosophy at the University of Warwick. Although sometimes It drives me crazy, I love to analyse, whether it be poker hands or complex sequences on the north face – Climbing all over the world from China to the States is one of my favourite past times.

 

When not working or socialising I try to do as much sport as possible and am a big fan of cycling. I also like to get out my comfort zone often. Among bungee jumps, wild camping and (one time) scything, I also joined Horsham Speakers in June 2014.

Malcolm has helped hundreds, if not thousands of individuals and companies with his hands on approach to coaching, mentoring, consultancy and Project Management.

Married with two grown-up sons, Ben (left) and Lawrence.

He won’t give his age; although apparently the team he supports, a certain North London outfit, won the double in the first year of his life!
